Morning water vapor imagery shows a large upper low off the OR/CA
coast. This feature will track eastward through the day, with the
exit region of an associated mid-level speed max moving into parts
of WA/OR. Increasing large scale lift and cooling temperatures
aloft will promote the development of scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms after dark over western OR and along the Cascades.
Elsewhere across the nation, dry and stable conditions are expected
to preclude thunderstorm activity today.
