SPC 0730Z Day 3 Outlook
Day 3 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0216 AM CDT Sun Oct 31 2021 Valid 021200Z - 031200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Severe thunderstorms are not currently forecast across the contiguous United States on Tuesday. ...Synopsis... A mid-level disturbance initially over the Four Corners will quickly move east into OK by early Wednesday morning while a trough remains centered over the Great Lakes. In the low levels, extensive surface high pressure east of the Rockies will lead to mainly tranquil conditions over a large part of the Lower 48 states. The exception will be over the southern Great Plains with weak isentropic lift/warm-air advection leading to increasing clouds and the chance for isolated showers/thunderstorms by late in the day. The chance for a cluster or two of weak elevated thunderstorms will likely increase Tuesday night from the South Plains eastward near the Red River. ..Smith.. 10/31/2021 Read more LIVE: spc.noaa.gov
