Thunderstorms will be possible this evening in parts of New England and in the western U.S. through tonight, but no severe weather is expected. ...DISCUSSION... An upper-level low will move slowly north-northeastward across the central Appalachians this evening. To the east of the system, onshore flow will be in place across the northern section of the Atlantic Seaboard. Strong large-scale ascent and weak instability across parts of New England may be enough for an isolated thunderstorm this evening. Scattered thunderstorms will also be possible ahead of an approaching upper-level low this evening into tonight across parts of Oregon, northern California. Further east, an isolated thunderstorm will also be possible in a parts of the Intermountain West tonight.
