SPC Oct 3, 2021 1730 UTC Day 2 Convective Outlook

SPC 1730Z Day 2 Outlook Day 2 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1219 PM CDT Sun Oct 03 2021 Valid 041200Z - 051200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Organized severe thunderstorms are not forecast across the contiguous United States on Monday. ...Synopsis... A weak large-scale mid-level trough will be situated over the Great Lakes southwestward into the Ozarks on Monday. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop from the lower MS Valley north into the OH Valley and eastward to the Atlantic coast. Relatively poor/meager lapse rates will limit destabilization despite moist low levels. Farther west, a mid-level low to the west of southern CA/Baja will favor episodic isolated to widely scattered showers/thunderstorms. The chance for thunderstorms over southern CA will likely be highest Monday night when large-scale ascent becomes maximized and favoring isolated convective development. ..Smith.. 10/03/2021 Read more LIVE:
