A few strong thunderstorms will spread across the southern High Plains this evening. ...Southern Plains... Early-evening water-vapor imagery depicts a well-defined upper low over northern NM ejecting slowly east-northeast toward southwestern KS/western OK/TX Panhandle region. A narrow corridor of weak buoyancy has yet to be overturned across the TX South Plains and this is the primary focus for a few strong storms over the next few hours. Radar imagery currently depicts a broken line of storms from south of AMA-west of LBB into extreme southeast NM.
