SPC 1300Z Day 1 Outlook
Day 1 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0616 AM CST Mon Nov 08 2021 Valid 081300Z - 091200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Severe thunderstorms are not expected today. ...Northern/central CA... Low-level warm theta-e advection will increase markedly across northern CA this evening into tonight as a shortwave trough approaches the Pacific Northwest coast. Large-scale forcing for ascent will contribute to lower-level moistening/destabilization as favorable trajectories encourage PW values to breach one inch. Elevated convection with scant buoyancy originating from parcels between 850-700 mb should result in potential for sporadic lightning flashes in the heaviest precip bands from late evening into the overnight. This appears most probable across the Bay Area and Sacramento Valley vicinity. ..Grams.. 11/08/2021 Read more LIVE: spc.noaa.gov
