SPC 1730Z Day 2 Outlook
Day 2 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1047 AM CST Sun Nov 28 2021 Valid 291200Z - 301200Z ...NO THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... The risk of thunderstorms appears negligible across the U.S. Monday through Monday night. ...Synopsis... A series of weak mid/upper shortwave troughs will migrate through northwesterly large-scale flow from the Pacific Northwest to the northern/central Plains and Upper Midwest. A large-scale upper trough near the Atlantic coast will pivot east/northeast across New England and offshore the Mid-Atlantic coast. A surface cold front extending southward from the Canadian Prairies into the mid-MO Valley will shift across the mid/upper MS Valley to the lower Great Lakes/OH Valley by Tuesday morning. Persistent surface high pressure across the south-central and southeastern U.S. will result in continued offshore flow across the Gulf, resulting in a dearth of boundary-layer moisture east of the Rockies. As a result, stable conditions will preclude thunderstorm activity. ..Leitman.. 11/28/2021 Read more LIVE: spc.noaa.gov
