SPC 1630Z Day 1 Outlook
Day 1 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1020 AM CST Thu Dec 09 2021 Valid 091630Z - 101200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Severe thunderstorms are not expected today. Quiet convective weather is expected over most of the US today. Strengthening southwesterly low and mid level winds over the southeast states will lead to enhanced low-level warm/moist advection after dark. This will yield marginal instability and the potential for scattered showers and thunderstorms from LA into MS/AL/GA overnight. Other isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening as a shortwave trough approaches the WA/OR coast. No severe storms are anticipated. ..Hart/Mosier.. 12/09/2021 Read more LIVE: spc.noaa.gov
