Severe thunderstorms are not expected across the U.S. today through tonight. ...Southeast MA... Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will affect much of the eastern United States and Upper Ohio Valley. The only area that could pose a low-end risk of a strong storm would be over Cape Cod. A series of thunderstorm clusters is currently noted along a warm front stretching from south of Long Island to just off the coast of southeast MA. The boundary is likely to stay offshore during this period, keeping the primary severe threat over the ocean. Nevertheless, a strong storm could affect areas around Nantucket or Cape Cod this afternoon, capable of gusty winds or a waterspout.
