SPC Sep 9, 2021 1630 UTC Day 1 Convective Outlook

SPC 1630Z Day 1 Outlook Day 1 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1111 AM CDT Thu Sep 09 2021 Valid 091630Z - 101200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Severe thunderstorms are not expected across the U.S. today through tonight. ...Southeast MA... Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will affect much of the eastern United States and Upper Ohio Valley. The only area that could pose a low-end risk of a strong storm would be over Cape Cod. A series of thunderstorm clusters is currently noted along a warm front stretching from south of Long Island to just off the coast of southeast MA. The boundary is likely to stay offshore during this period, keeping the primary severe threat over the ocean. Nevertheless, a strong storm could affect areas around Nantucket or Cape Cod this afternoon, capable of gusty winds or a waterspout. Given the very small affected area and limited confidence, will not introduce a MRGL risk area. ..Hart.. 09/09/2021 Read more LIVE:
